Word processor component of the GEOS Operating Environment for the Apple II, Commodore 64/128/Plus 4 and PC '''Author:''' Breadbox Ensemble '''Homepage:''' http://www.breadbox.com/ensemble/geosdetails.asp?id=9&category=Breadbox%20Office (dead link) '''Download:''' https://github.com/bluewaysw/pcgeos https://github.com/mist64/geos '''Family:''' CommodoreFamily '''Platform:''' Commodore 64/128, Apple ][, IBM PC '''License:''' Commercial <nowiki>GeoWrite</nowiki> was the word processor component of the GEOS Operating environment for the Commodore 64/128 computers. GEOS was a graphical environment with a bit mapped screen and icons, using the joystick in place of a mouse. GeoWrite included basic word processor features, including word wrap, search and replace, and fonts. The biggest limitation was the extremely slow Commodore floppy drive, which made loading GEOS in the first place, and swapping components into memory time consuming. Originally created by Berkeley Softworks, the product was also available for the Apple ][, Atari 8 bit micros, and later ported to the IBM PC as Breadbox Ensemble Geoworks. The PC version was available from Breadbox, LLC, aimed at the educational market. It is now available as FreeGeos.
